Tipped is a free platform where restaurant workers across Canada track what they earn, spot trends, and compare across the industry. Know your worth before your first shift.

Privacy

Your tip logs are private by default. Only you see your own data. We never share or sell individual earnings.

Public insights only appear after strict thresholds are met — these are commitments, not settings:

5+ shifts from 3+ workers before any earnings appear publicly
Per-role privacy — breakdowns are suppressed unless 3+ workers contributed to that role
Below threshold? Only the worker count is shown — never earnings

Data quality

All public stats use medians, not averages — resistant to outliers. Unusual entries are automatically flagged and excluded.

Your rights

You can always:

Export your data — download everything we have about you as a JSON file from Settings
Delete your account — permanently removes your profile and all tip logs. This cannot be undone
